Two girls from German gymnastics club TV Elz have spent 2 ½ weeks of their summer holidays here in England training alongside our squad gymnasts. The visit came about after our senior gymnast Kelly Simm went out to compete for the club in Germany last year.
The girls came to learn both inside the gym and to improve their English and learn about English culture. Spending the majority of their time inside the gym, training double sessions working alongside our squad gymnasts, the girls worked hard throughout their stay.
Rieke & Merle spent their time with 3 different host families, and while not inside the gym enjoyed a day out in London, a trip to Thorpe Park and a BBQ at Victoria Country Park to say farewell.
