5 of Dynamo’s Women’s Artistic Squad travelled to Nottingham to compete in the Sandra Clark Invitational last weekend.
The girls travelled along with coaches Keith & Debbie Richardson, Karen Paling, and Kerri Upton, staying overnight in a local Holiday Inn.
10 year-old, Sydney Letchford, competed in the Level 3 age group, amongst a strong line-up. Sydney put in a solid performance to place 4th overall, with a score of 43.317, improving her scores on every apparatus from the previous weekends competition.
In the Level 2 age group, (11 years old), Leah Mitchell finished 3rd overall, with a score of 42.633. Leah gained the Gold on Vault with a score of 12.70 for her massive Tsukahara, and the Bronze on Beam for her difficult routine. Tayah Askham, was close behind in 4th with a score of 42.050, also adding the Bronze on Bars. Ella Beattie-Edwards finished 5th overall with a score of 40.75, adding the Bronze on floor for her elegant routine. Olivia Essex, finished 6th overall with a score of 38.90.
A fantastic competition and experience for the girls who will now go on to compete in the Southern Region Championships being held in Reading next weekend.
