Following the success of the girls in the Country Grades, the remaining gymnasts travelled to Portsmouth Gymnastics Centre for the Southern Region National NDP Grades 4 – 1.
In National NDP Grade 4, Lila North passed her Grade with commendation, narrowly missing out on a distinction, finishing in 17th with 58.95. Also passing with commendation, Madeleine Pople, in 19th with 58.00, and Victoria Baynes in 27th with 56.55. Elise Blisset also passed her Grade with a score of 54.90, in 29th.
Competing in the National NDP Grade 2, Katie Davis passed her Grade with a commendation with an overall score of 56.20. This put Katie in 5th position, and qualified her as travelling reserve through to the National Finals due to take place in May. Team mate Tiger Weidner also received commendation, finishing in 6th, with 55.10. Isabelle Prinsep also passed her Grade with an overall score of 54.80 finishing in 7th position.
In NDP Grade 1, Jessica Wells finished with an overall score of 53.65, in 5th place. Jessica will also travel to National Finals along with the Southern Region Team.
A fantastic weekend for all the Dynamo gymnasts with everyone passing there Grades. Senior Women’s Coach, Kerri Upton said of the girls performance: “We are delighted to have participants in both the county and regional competitions, this depth can only enhance our chance of finding the next International gymnast to represent Dynamo”.
